Socks aren't enough to keep me warm. (I lack body heat: the prequel)

I'm just going to say right now that I'm not the biggest fan of winter. Sure it's a really pretty season, and I love taking pictures of the snow! The thing that bothers me the most is the cold. I have a major lacking of body fat and a drafty house, meaning I'm cold pretty much all the time. Funny thing is, I want to go to college up north. The only thing that'll help with winters there is a cute coat! My current coat is Guess, and it's just black; sorta boring.

It looks cuter on me! Haha, still a little boring.
Recently, I've been looking at tons of coats I find absolutely adorable. The place I seem to be going to the most is Modcloth. I think I've loved about 50 coats there, so please excuse the long list I have.

As I said, long list. I have more where those came from too. I continued my search for coats to the farthest regions of the internet and beyond! Here are the results of my quest!

Capes can be considered coats in my book!

These last 2 pictures are from Miu Miu! One of my favorite designers!

I wish I was that warm!

Bear Shiny has a ton of adorable coats of her own that she bought at Salvation Army! I think I should put some gift cards on my Christmas list this year if I want to look quite as fabulous as she does! Anyways, I hope all of you have a wonderful and warm holiday! Bear Shiny and I wish the best for all of you in the new year!

Cheers to the winter season!

for the cold, bear shiny inspiration

hello lovelies, Bear shiny hear!
Being a total addict to the internet I have the tendency to run around and find some interesting things. I find those certain pieces of text, people, music, and images that inspire me.

Today I will b focusing on images that have really caught my eye (you will realize fairly quickly that I am most definitely a visual heavy person when it comes to blog posting!) most of which I have come across on lookbook but also on other people's blogs and tumblr pages.

let us begin!

one of my big things right now has to be that what ever the person is wearing, it has to look comfy! I am super obsessed with all brown, thick and layered outfits. boots, hearts and bows are a HUGE plus!
another thing that I am I right now has to be collared shirts. Its just a classic style and seems to make any clothing outfit just seem really adorable like a doll. Whenever I find myself sitting and doodling little designs in class they always end up with high waist skirts and collars!
The belt and the dress are PERFECT in this picture!

I think that this is my favorite picture by far! The girl is super adorable, kind of shabby, the clothes are really simple but look super comfy and a lot of fun to wear.

here are a few others that I LOVE but am a bit lazy to do full explanations for. They speak for themselves!

I really want to go  thrifting for old 80's dresses now, haha!

I hope you guys keep in touch and enjoy what we have so far! I'll post more often FOR SURE but for now you guys can find me on twitter, youtube and tumblr!
<3 you all!

Lovely Background Music

When I was 12, and a super annoying pre-teen, I always wanted to have a myspace and stuff. My favorite part about it was that you could add fancy backgrounds and music to it! Of course, I really don't want a Myspace now, considering that it's filled with people who may possibly come and rape me..... ANYWAYS, I realized that since I've been listening to a lot of new bands recently, that it'd be a good idea to share some of my findings with everyone! It was a long and tedious search for the right player, but I found this little bear off of a link I found on Google. I figured it would be perfect due to my lovely co-blogger, Bear Shiny (Since she's a bear and all....)! I put up four songs on the player, which you probably can't see because the words on the bear's boombox are so tiny! The four songs are....

1. Elephant Gun- Beirut
2. Heads will Roll- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3. Yankee Bayonet- The Decemberists
4. Deadbeat Summer- Neon Indian

I love Beirut so much! It's so difficult to classify their music into a specific genre! I love their incorporation of unique instruments into one super killer song! Yeah Yeah Yeahs are pretty well known, but I really adore Karen O, the singer of the group! I really like the rock elements added into their music, but they still make each song sound different; I have a monotony problem with a lot of bands. I found The Decemberists while looking at some Beirut stuff, actually. I love a lot of their accoustic songs and the lyrics are always really good! Neon Indian is more of an electronic band from New York that I discovered while reading Nylon! I usually don't listen to too much electronic music, besides Crystal Castles, but they're actually really good!

The amazing cover to a Neon Indian album!

If you have any more ideas for background blog songs, we'd love to hear them! Leave us a comment!

Cheers, Bobby Socks

PS. I adore Bear Shiny's wonderfully edited photos of fall!
